About Downhill Fantasy
Umm... what is it?
Downhill Fantasy is an online game similair to Fantasy Football where you take on the role of a team manager, except instead of footballers, your choosing Mountain Bikers. Downhill Fantasy gives you the opportunity to splash some 'cash' on the big dogs of mountain biking. If you've ever ridden a bike, chances are you'll probably enjoy it. Read on for more details...

How it works
It's fairly simple, you are given a budget of £1,000,000 (not real money of course). As your new role as Downhill team manager you can recruit 4 riders, 3 male, 1 female, with the cash.
These riders then compete in the Uci Downhill World Cup. Depending on how they do, they'll earn points. 100 points for 1st place, 1 point for 100th. The points are then added to your team total.
What races are used in Downhill Fantasy
Downhill Fantasy uses all the races in the Uci downhill World Cup. More info can be found on the Uci website here, or you can see a breakdown of the races on the races page here.
What riders are used in Downhill Fantasy
Downhill Fantasy uses all the riders from the previous years Uci Downhill World Cup. You can see a full list of the riders on the riders page.
Choosing Your Team
How to pick riders
1. log in to your account.
2. Click the 'Begin Rider Selection' link on the home page.
3. Drag and drop the photo of the riders you want to the team list on the left.
If you are struggling with choosing your riders please make sure you have the most recent version of your web browser.... also make sure you aren't using Internet Explorer, because it really is the bane of web designers the world over...
Why 3 male 2 female?
Purely a matter of there being less female riders competing in the World Cup. We may try something different next year but who knows...

Other Information
Is it Free?
Downhill Fantasy is free as free can be. I've spent a fair bit of time on it ( that probably should have been spent doing my degree ) and it costs to keep the servers ticking over... There is no donate button or anything, but if you could spare a few quid on a reasonably priced t-shirt in the shop I'd greatly appreciate it.
Something Went Wrong
Downhill Fantasy is pretty experimental, there are likely to be a few bugs here and there, if you spent anything dodgy please get in touch and I'll try and get it sorted as soon as possible.
I have an idea for DHF
I more than welcome any ideas people have for Downhill Fantasy. The idea is to make it better and better so if you have something send it over to and we'll see what we can do.
